About
Hi! I’m Dana Phillips.
I’m here to help you at the beginning of your nursing journey because nursing students are near and dear to my heart.
Here’s a little bit about my background:
With 18 years of experience in nursing, I’ve had the privilege of serving patients across a wide variety of specialties, including cardiac, surgical, labor and delivery, pre-op, vascular care, and case management. My career has taken me from the fast pace of hospital units to the flexibility and excitement of travel nursing, where I gained invaluable insights into diverse patient populations and healthcare systems. I’ve also held leadership roles as a charge nurse and had the opportunity to guide the next generation of nurses as a clinical instructor, teaching students at the bedside in the obstetrics setting.
For the past three years, I’ve been practicing as a family nurse practitioner, working in the primary care setting to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. My approach combines the technical expertise I’ve developed over nearly two decades with a strong commitment to education, empathy, and advocacy. Whether supporting patients through complex health challenges or helping them maintain wellness, I strive to deliver care that empowers individuals and strengthens communities.
